Guildford based PR agency, The Wordbox Group, is celebrating 15 years in business next year. The mark this very special milestone, the agency is hosting a special charity Knockout Challenge for local businesses to enjoy an afternoon of fun entertainment whilst raising money for a local cause. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Guildford children’s charity, Chase and the date/venue to log firmly in your diary is Thursday, 10 June 2010, from 3.00 – 7.00 pm at Stoke Park, Guildford.
Jane Newick, managing director, The Wordbox Group explains:
“The idea is that in return for a small charge, a company can enter a team of 6 people to take part in a range of action packed games. There will be something for everyone, from football shoot outs, to relays, tug of war and sack races, to the more genteel egg and spoon race. It’s early days in terms of planning, but inflatables, props and foam may well be involved so be prepared for an afternoon of mayhem!”
“There will be lots of different ways for businesses to support the event as in addition to taking part in the games we will also be running a raffle with top quality prizes, tombola, hoopla, and a cake stall.
“The afternoon will end with a presentation to the winning team followed by a barbecue. We are hoping that local businesses will really support us and Chase by entering as many teams as possible. It should be a great afternoon and we are looking forward to raising as much money as possible for Chase whilst helping to celebrate our own success in business over the last 15 years.”
