WOMEN THINK ABOUT SHOPPING MORE THAN SEX
A revealing new study by www.MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk of 1,011 women between the ages of 18 and 30 has found that females think about shopping more times in a day than they do about sex. On a similar note, over half of the respondents said that they would also rather buy clothes than have a night between the bed clothes.
When asked “How many times a day do you think about sex?” 68% said between 5-10 times, meaning more than two thirds thought about the subject up to 70 times a week. However, when posed the same question about shopping roughly the same number, 71%, claimed it crossed their mind 30 or more times each waking day.
On average, that would equate to the majority of women thinking about shopping more than 210 times in the average week; 3 times more than sex. Of these women, the average thought of shopping lasted for 2 minutes, meaning that 7 hours of every week are spent thinking about their next dress or new pair of shoes.
The average thought of sex for the women questioned lasted less than 30 seconds, equating to no more than 35 minutes a week. MyCelebrityFashion also found that 58% of females would rather go on a shopping trip than have sex.
Over 1 in 5 of the respondents actually admitted to thinking about shopping during a moment of passion and 3% claimed to have been amorous in a changing room!
Speaking about these latest findings, Andy Barr, Marketing Director of MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk said;
“We were interested to find out more about the thought process of our target audience, which prompted us into researching what was on the minds of women more; shopping or sex? I think this new research proves that most women would rather have a new pair of shoes than a good time.”
He continued; “We were surprised by the cheeky few who admitted to getting frisky in a changing room, but we did find from previous research that shopping gets women in the mood! If guys want to please their partners, perhaps they should be heading to the high street for a spot of shopping, not to the bedroom!”
