December 7, 2009 – Melbourne Head Office, Victoria, Australia – Warwick.com.au – is well aware that over 12 percent of the population in Australia is suffering from asthma and 40 percent from nasal or skin allergies. Thus, Warwick has developed the range of fabrics to help Australians make better and healthier lifestyle choices in their furniture coverings.

With the revolutionary HealthGuard, Warwick has introduced a new generation of high performance and specifically developed for long-term protection against the house dust mite, moulds and bacteria while maintaining an odour-free surface.

Proven and tested by Monash University’s Department of Microbiology and boasting worldwide quality assurance (including prestigious Oeko-Tex international registration); HealthGuard is odour-free and specially developed to reduce dust mites, mould spores and bacteria which can trigger respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies and even eczema symptoms.

The National Asthma Council of Australia has implemented the Sensitive Choice program, symbolized by the butterfly logo, to help consumers make informed choices about products that may help reduce asthma and allergy triggers. In March 2007, Warwick HealthGuard fabrics Macrosuede, Macro-soft, Macro-hide, Macquarie, Macarthur, Miranda and Tritan ranges all received acceptance to the NACA Sensitive Choice program.

HealthGuard is a registered trademark of Global Speciality Chemicals Pty. Ltd.
