TwitMdu2010, Madurai’s First-ever Twitter Event, Kicked off
TwitMdu2010, Madurai’s first-ever Twitter camp, hosted by Dot Com Infoway and organized by Galatta media, was officially e-inaugurated by celebrity singer Ms. Chinmayee, today (Sunday, March 21, 2010). Tweeps of Madurai thronged the event venue.
TwitMdu2010, Madurai’s first-ever Twitter Camp, which is being hosted by Madurai-based Technology Firm, Dot Com Infoway and organized by Galatta media of Chennai, was officially e-inaugurated by celebrity singer Ms. Chinmayee, in presence of several popular tweeps and participants from Madurai. The event’s agenda has been designed spectacularly covering several new and unique Twitter-based topics which explores the in & outs of Twitter and its influence on social media.
Commenting on the Twitter Camp kick off, Mr. C. R. Venkatesh, CEO and Managing Director of DCI expressed “Wow! The success of the event has stunned us. We really showed the people, what several Tweeps in the world are doing with their 140 characters tweets. Tweeps in and around the city attended the Twitter Camp, learned much information about Twitter, its influence on Society and its popularity among youngsters. Mostly, all the attendees were popular tweeps and it turned out that, most of them are Tweeting for more than a year. Mr.Kalyana Sundaram, who is a popular tweep under the twitter name @dollars5, delivered a beautiful speech on Twitter tools and Mr.Shan explained well about the new innovations in Twitter and its API. Mr. Raghavan of DCI explained how a tweet could turn evil.”
The Twitter event covered a fun-filled session named TwitFun. All the participants enjoyed participating in the Twitter-based games and the really cool contest was the “First-Time Tweets”, where participants posted their first tweets, and made an impressing foray into the Twitter World. And another Twitter-based game named Twit-a-Story, which helped most of the tweeps to show their Tweeting talents to the participants.
