ThumbPeople, Inc., an advocate for the development of self worth in children, together with Early Childhood Educators are advising parents to start early in preparing young children to start school or return to school this fall.

Kelly Olson, Early Childhood Educator and Birth and Family Educator, commented, “Preparing your preschool or elementary school age child to have a successful start this school year requires intentional efforts from parents. It’s important to begin preparing your child for this transition early by integrating the subject in your conversations. Be sure to have a positive attitude and speak out loud to your child all the wonderful things you expect to happen at school this year such as: you’re going to make a lot of good friends, you’re going to get smarter and learn a lot of good things, you’ll be creative and make fun art projects and beautiful music! I’d also recommend reading books with your child that prepare them for a successful start of school. One such book is, “Thumbuddy Goes To School” by ThumbPeople. “Thumbuddy Goes To School” does a great job of preparing your child to start school while helping them make positive choices and also reassuring them that they are loved.”

Established to instill a foundation of self worth through the use of positive and affirming words, ThumbPeople, Inc. has created the Thumbuddy children’s book series, the You Are Thumbuddy children’s music, a soaking CD series and Thumbuddy Club preschool curriculum.

Educators are promoting the Thumbuddy series for its self-worth developing concepts and positive effects on self image. What a world it will be when this truth is realized by every child! The positive impact on humanity will be significant when every child has self-respect and also respects others.”

With a foundation of self worth, people make healthier choices, treat others better and are equipped to live outstanding lives. Destructive behaviors will be avoided and broken lives mended. Our message is simple – but it will truly make the world a better place!”
