ThumbPeople and Educators Warn Parents Not to Wait to Prepare Their Child to Start School

ThumbPeople, Inc., an advocate for the development of self worth in , together with Early Childhood Educators are advising to start early in preparing young to start school or return to school this fall.

Kelly Olson, Early Childhood Educator and Birth and Family Educator, commented, “Preparing your preschool or age child to have a start this school year requires intentional efforts from parents. It’s important to begin preparing your child for this transition early by integrating the subject in your conversations. Be sure to have a and speak out loud to your child all the wonderful things you expect to happen at school this year such as: you’re going to make a lot of good friends, you’re going to get smarter and learn a lot of good things, you’ll be creative and make fun art projects and beautiful music! I’d also recommend reading books with your child that them for a start of school. One such book is, “ Goes To School” by ThumbPeople. “ Goes To School” does a great job of preparing your child to start school while helping them make and also reassuring them that they are loved.”
