The Thinkers 50 – 2009

October 21, 2009 | Author: | Posted in Business

Remaining undefeated since 2007, Prof. C.K. Prahalad retains the top spot as the world’s most influential living management thinker.

Making their first appearances are Nobel Prize-winners Muhammad Yunus and Joseph Stiglitz making it in at #6 and 22 respectively. The presence of professors Prahalad and Yunus underlines the focus during the recession on what is being called caring capitalism, or “creative capitalism” to use the term preferred by Bill Gates (7th).

Making his return on the list after a short break is Don Tapscott (39th) and many of the usual suspects hold their presence including Chan Kim & Renée Mauborgne (5th), Philip Kotler (9th), Gary Hamel (10th), Ram Charan (13th), Lynda Gratton (18th), Vijay Govindarajan (24th) and David Ulrich (31st) amongst others.

New this year is the Guru Radar, the list of people to watch which include Nirmalya Kumar and Kate Sweetman.
