The Great Buffalo Chase 5K has partnered with Race-Calendar.com to promote the fourth of July event, with 650 runners expected to attend the distillery in Kentucky, USA
Frankfort, KY, USA, June 26th, 2012 (Your-Story.org) The Great Buffalo Chase 5K has partnered with Race-Calendar.com to promote it’s annual 5k event. 650 runners are expected at the 5K race in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Set in the grounds of the Buffalo Trace bourbon distillery, the race takes in the historic warehouses of the whiskey brand, some dating from the 1900′s. There has been a working distillery on the site since 1787.
Not only is the race set in a scenic location, it also has very competitive prize money: $1500 for third place, $2000 for second place, and $2500 for first place, for both genders. The prizes attract world-class athletes and it is unsurprising, therefore, that the race boasts a course record of 14:23.
Race-Calendar.com will provide online registration services for the event, along with social media integration and digital promotion. The race is the third US event to utilise the online event management and digital promotion platform at Race-Calendar.com.
About The Great Buffalo Chase 5K
The Annual Great Buffalo Chase will be held on July 4th beginning 8 a.m. This year’s course will once again start on distillery grounds and wind through historic aging warehouses, production facilities and lots of beautiful scenery before finishing up at the gift shop. T-shirts will be given to all runners. Registration begins at 7 a.m. in front of the Buffalo Trace Gift Shop the day of the race. Proceeds from the race will again go towards funding VFW Post 4075’s Annual Fourth of July fireworks show. Post 4075 has sponsored the fireworks show in Franklin County for over 40 years.
