Talent Hunt to acknowledge urgency of logistic industry

New Delhi, April 4, 2012: Even after being one among the fastest growing industry, Indian logistics sector is facing shortage of manpower. Addressing the immediate need of the industry, T2P Consultants Limited has collaborated with Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, India to organize “Logistic Talent Hunt Award”.

“Logistics Talent hunt 2012” is a one day event that target quality visitors, top level professionals from across the country, aspiring management courses pursuing students with real projects to implement and who foresee their career in logistics sector.

Out of 250 entries, 15 teams and individual projects from all over India will be presented to the jury for final evaluation on March 25, 2012. Whereas, final results will be declared on 30th March and the award ceremony will take place on April 7th.

“In this program, management students will participate to prepare the projects on topics related to Logistics Industry. Including use of IT in supply chain, future of 4 PL in India, logistics challenges of E Commerce, public distribution system – logistics solution and green logistics –the Indian way,” explained Mr. Prem Prakash, Director of T2P Consultants Limited.

“The industry, which is likely to cross the $200 billion figure by 2020 is struggling in terms of inadequate human resource having knowledge about logistics and supply chain management in India. We have organized this event to generate interest and give career direction to students in logistic sector and to render a platform for enhancing business professional links.

The jury panel includes eminent industry experts and professionals namely, Lt. Gen (Retd) D V Kalra, PVSM, AVSM (Vice Chairman CILT), Dr. P K Goel (CCM Northern Railways, Ex MD IRCTC), Prof. Veni Mathur ( Prof. IIT Delhi), Mr. Abhishek Chakraborty (Exe. Director DTDC), Mr. Rajeev Bharadwaj ( Group GM CONCOR), Mr. Vishal Khanna (Vertical Head Logistics & SCM Cognigent Inc.), Mr. Syed K. Husain (Group Director – Corporate Affairs of House of Patels) among others.

The panel will judge the efficiency of the students considering the following parameters like – relevance of the topic, main focus, content, original idea, flow of the subject, depth of analysis, logical deductions and recommendation.
