Watertown, MA – August 24th, 2009 – The Apartments at Coolidge School, an active adult community 55+, is proud to present a night with the Two for the Show on Wednesday, August 26th at 6:30pm. The band, made up of Ellen Schmidt and Jake Kensinger, will play guitar, bass and vocals in the beautifully restored auditorium at The Apartments at Coolidge School. This event marks the first official entertainment to be held at The Apartments at Coolidge School. Admission to the event is free. Watertown, MA – June 11th, 2009 – The Apartments at Coolidge School, an active adult community 55+, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today marking the complete construction of the project. Invited guests and residents enjoyed tours of the building and the apartments, acknowledgements from the developer, Bart Mitchell, remarks by Public Officials from the Town of Watertown and State of Massachusetts, and also dined on lunch from a local restaurant, the Uncommon Ground. Residents and a former student at The Coolidge School also said a few words to the crowd. Renovations to the building started in March 2008. Watertown, MA – April 1st – The Apartments at Coolidge School, an active adult community 55+, announced its grand opening today. The 1915 brick schoolhouse, originally by designed by Clarence P. Hoyt and Curtis W. Bixby in Classical Revival style, has been fully restored and renovated inside and out. With only 38 residences, The Apartments at Coolidge School represents a special opportunity for active adults to live in an intimate, comfortable community.
