Spring Hill, FL – Suncoast Rehabilitation Center took their Narconon Alcohol and Drug Rehab Program information to the National RX Drug Abuse Summit held in Orlando, FL, April 10th through the 12th, 2012. Over 700 participants from around the country met to address the prescription drug abuse epidemic. The conference programming featured thought-provoking presentations by 100 experts and leaders designed to convey a holistic approach in five educational track focuses: Health Care, Advocacy and Prevention, Human Resources, Treatment and Law Enforcement.
Suncoast Rehabilitation Center delivers the highly successful Narconon Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Program and exhibited at the Summit. Executives and staff were on hand to educate and answer questions about the program and its holistic approach. The program offers a completely drug-free method to help those addicted to prescription drugs, as well as alcohol and other substances, withdraw from drugs and recover from their addition.
“I was pleased to see that the Summit made clear the true scope of the problem and that every level was represented. There were NICU nurses who talked about newborns being born addicted and going through withdrawal symptoms. Every level and every profession acknowledged that this is an epidemic and too many people are dying, too many babies are born addicted, and too many families are being ruined from this epidemic.” says Tammy Strickling, Narconon Suncoast Rehabilitation Center Executive Director.
Strickling, who is fighting the Rx Drug Abuse epidemic on a daily basis, treating those struggling with addiction and helping them to recovery, left the conference with this question, “If everyone agrees from individuals, to medical professionals, to treatment centers, to government officials and oversight committees, why isn’t it stopped? Why does the problem grow? It’s one thing to be aware of the problem and acknowledge it as a problem. It’s another to put yourself, or your agency out there and say NO MORE and stop it. I am looking forward to next year’s Summit with the hope that the alliances made this year will bring many positive results of more rapidly reversing and stopping this epidemic.”
Suncoast Rehabilitation Center, a Narconon Alcohol and Drug Rehab facility has an outstanding success rate of 76% of graduates achieving recovery from addiction. Suncoast Rehab graduates are followed up with regularly. The answer to this high rate of success lies with their experienced staff and use of the Narconon program. The Narconon program not only detoxifies the addict’s body from drug and alcohol toxins and thereby eliminates cravings; they also train their students on specific life skills courses that address the reasons why the student began to abuse drugs or alcohol. The student leaves Suncoast Rehab alcohol or drug-free, with new life skills and knowledge with which to handle life’s problems.
