Premium (Paid) Press Releases

Because a lot of users wanted advanced features, which use up more of our resources, and site moderators time, Your Story offers a Premium Press Release service. Premium Press Releases benefit from the same great list of benefits as the free press releases – for example, they go out in Google News, Moreover, Organic Search Engines, multiple RSS feeds and social media streams and more – but you are also allowed to place up to three web links; up to 10 images; and one embedded video into your release, in order to offer more rich content to the multimedia journalist, blogger or investor of 2011.

Premium Releases may also be embargoed for a specific time and date in the future – allowing you to effectively plan your media campaign – as well as coming to the top of the site moderation queue (as you are paying for the additional moderation time required to check web links, image placement and any video added).

Why Do Your Story Offer So Much For Free?

We are often asked why we offer so much for free. It is quite simple. Digital publication and distribution of your press releases does not cost much per unit – unlike the old days, when sending a press release involved expensive printing, posting, telephoning and man hours, donkey work and effort. However, despite the falling costs, many services still expect you to pay upwards of $300 USD for digital distribution of your company press releases.

We realised that press release distribution is only useful if it is done in a location that is aimed at journalists and bloggers. This means a service which collects and publishes only the best press releases – the ones where they can write actual news stories from the press releases they discover.

That’s why we aimed Your Story at the audience, not the issuer of the press release. Without audience, your press release submission will go nowhere. Most other press release services are designed to catch – and charge – the issuer of press releases. Your Story is different. It is not called “submityourfreepressreleasehere dot com (sic)” for a reason – it is about finding a story. Your Story is aimed at journalists. Which is why we moderate – and remove – most junk and spam press release submissions, to keep it audience friendly.

If you submit and have published a free press release on Your Story you are adding value for the fast-growing numbers of users who regularly scan their industry areas and topics for new press releases. Add value for those users, and you add value for Your Story. As a payback, you get super-targeted, great readership, and global propagation for your press release. For free.

Submit Your Free Press Release Here – and Nowhere Else

We know that most businesses don’t want to spend days and days submitting their press release to a myriad of difficult to differentiate free and paid press release services. Yet many issuers of press releases go for a scattergun approach, and send the same press release to every single site out there – including article directories, and online “hub” websites and wikis.

With a Your Story free press release account, those days are over.

You can submit your free press release to Your Story and nowhere else. You will be contacted within the next day with a confirmation once your press release is published (by email) with a link to your press release. You should then check Google, Yahoo and Bing by searching for the title of your release a few minutes after publication, and see how well your Your Story press release is already doing.

Within around 15 minutes, you should search on Google News too. You’ll more than likely find your press release, courtesy of Your Story right there, too.

Then, you’ll be able to drop a link to your Your Story press release into your company Facebook and Twitter pages – and your personal social media pages too – perhaps even using the in-release, one-click social media buttons.

For the technically savvy, you’ll even be able to use Your Story as an online Media Room which can be linked to directly from your company website(s) and blog(s) by grabbing the RSS feed of either your author page, or a tag page from Your Story – simply visit any Your Story URL and append “/feed/” to the end of the address to access the feed – which can be used to publish a constantly updating list of your latest press releases in third party websites.

All of this is available out-of-the-box, for free. You just have to submit your press release by registering, logging in, and visiting this page, then let Your Story and its built in distribution systems do the hard work for you – you can then get on with the important business of fielding journalist enquiries, instead of visiting any other press release website!
