9,000 runners expected to take to the SoCal streets in January 2013
Irvine, CA, USA, June 26th, 2012 (Your-Story.org) The Southern California Half Marathon & 5K has opened online registration for the January 2013 mass participation running event. The races will take place on January 12th, 2012, with over 9,000 runners expected to take part.
The organisers of the event have partnered with Race-Calendar.com, the unified online running solution, to provide digital marketing, social media integration and online registration services.

About the Southern California Half Marathon & 5K
The 22nd Annual Southern California Half Marathon and 5K race will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Woodbridge area of Irvine. Races will begin at 8:00am for the 5K and Half Marathon. At 10:00am, a Kids Run will be held.
The event benefits Woodbridge High School athletics, other schools in the Irvine Unified School District, and local charities.
The race is an official warm-up race for the L.A. Marathon, the O.C. Marathon and has developed a partnership with Students Run LA to give “at risk” students from Southern California the opportunity to train and complete the L.A. Marathon.
