NEW YORK, NY, April 20, 2012—Hip-hop lovers can look forward to an evening filled with beats and rhymes when MCs from the Tri-State area take the stage at Bowery Poetry Club & Café in New York on April 24 at 10PM EST. The show, “UNI VERSE” aims to shine the light on a talented and diverse group of artists, which include NJ-bred MCs Sol Infinite and Rav.P; Philadelphia-based producer, 9th Element; Maryland-based producer and DJ, Black Pawn; and Brooklyn-bred MC, Johnny Prince.
“I’m really looking forward to performing,” said Sol Infinite, who is currently on tour promoting his debut album, Within Destination, released in 2011. “UNI VERSE is about bringing together the different shades of expression in music, through artists that have a universal appeal, but all bring something unique to the table.”
The event will also include a performance from R&B singer, Major Kyss by way of Berlin, Germany, who is currently on tour in the U.S. Artwork from NY artist, Efrain Aguilar Jr., will also be on display at the show. Aguilar’s work has been on display at APW Arts Gallery in Lower Manhattan and profiled in The New York Times.
Sol Infinite will headline the event and perform songs off Within Destination. Since its release last July, Within Destination has garnered attention and praise from numerous online magazines, bloggers, and radio stations around the world. This is not the first time Sol Infinite has come to Bowery Poetry Club and Café. Just last month, the popular club welcomed the artist, as he performed several songs off his album and his new song, “Rumble, Young Man Rumble,” inspired by Muhammad Ali.
