SoftDrom announces the BETA availability of its RFBServer 2.x application server software solution for Nortel Customers who have Nortel IP phones 1120E, 1140E, 1150E, 1165E, i2007 and IP Softphone 2050 for PC. It is the second generation of the solution, which allows executing on Nortel IP phones practically any software application which can be developed and run on a PC.

SoftDrom RFBServer 2.x inherits usability and easy to use approach of its previous release, adding support for up to 1300 concurrent IP phones connected to one  instance of RFBServer 2.x. It improves its support for up to 5 applications on each Nortel IP phone. RFBServer supports now new Nortel 1165E IP phone. It is just great to use the phones’ fantastic color screen for Internet browsing, pictures viewing, ad showing and more.

A key approach increasing ROI in equipment and improving customer services though modern ways of communications is ability to execute business applications on Nortel IP phones. Such ability should be price-light and easy to install. New applications should be added as easy as it is for consumerPCs’. SoftDrom RFBServer solution allows to execute web-applications  on Nortel IP phones, browse the Internet, organizing Alert notification system, providing ad on phones’ screens and more.

Support for 1300 concurrent IP phones from one RFBServer instance is the most significant improvement asked by our customers since the first available releases of RFBServer in 2009. With the improvement (just compare to 450 phones on RFBServer 1.x releases) the product is suitable for organizations like 5/4/3 stars hotels covering their amount of phones in use and, at the same time, reducing use cost via lower requirements for number of PC’s and admin work.

It is important that RFBServer 2.x is free for use for the first 4 months. For free-forever version they should use RFBServer 1.2 still.
