Shaun Proves to be a Popular Choice with Models Direct Clients

If you’ve been given the impression that all models have to be super skinny, think again! The Helen Hamlyn Centre turned to Models Direct looking for a larger male model to pose in a photoshoot. It was Shaun from Buckinghamshire who was selected.

The Helen Hamlyn Centre is part of the Royal College of Art in London and “provides a focus for people-centred design and innovation”, as the website states. The clients were looking for an overweight male model to pose for the documentation of a new hospital gown design. The images are set to be used in exhibitions and press releases.

Despite there being some confusion to start with, the client felt Shaun wasn’t the size he appeared on his model profile (just showing you need to update your photos regularly!), the assignment went well.

“I was taken into the shoot,” Shaun explained to Models Direct. “I had to put on these hospital gowns which were a tight fit so it was just as well I wasn’t any bigger. The photographer then gave me direction with designer on what they wanted.”

“They were very pleased with the shoot which then made me feel great,” Shaun continued. “The shoot was in a fantastic location, I have never been to that part of London before. I love being a model, bring on more!” He certainly sounds satisfied with his assignment.

This was the third assignment with Models Direct for Shaun and in his feedback he always reports about how much fun he’s had. It didn’t all happen right away though unfortunately and he had some time to wait between signing up and securing his first assignment. It just goes to show that in the modelling industry patience and determination are key to your success!
