x June 2009 – Ltd, a Finmeccanica company, has formed a collaborative agreement with Oxford BioSignals (OBS) – world leaders in advanced signal processing, data visualisation and asset condition monitoring – to provide predictive management solutions to the UK rail industry.

Under the terms of the agreement, SELEX Systems Integration will be combining its world-class systems integration capabilities with OBS’ intelligent asset monitoring solutions, which were initially developed for the aerospace market.

SELEX Systems Integration’s Rail Business Manager, Paul Pimlott, said: “Together, we and OBS will focus on creating a range of integrated predictive management solutions that enhance existing customer data systems and optimise operational management of rail assets. Ultimately, our goal is to help customers extract increased value from existing IT and fleet management investment, and provide alerts and information that can improve asset availability and cost of ownership.”

Oxford BioSignals Industrial Business Chief Executive, Nick Farrant, said: “We welcome the opportunity to work with a forward thinking systems integrator such as SELEX Systems Integration, who recognise that rail organisations can reduce cost and risk, and hence improve their operational effectiveness through predictive asset management strategies”.
