Omniplex delight as Absorb LMS wins another Brandon Hall Gold Award

Omniplex, the e-learning solutions provider which distributes corporate e-learning products in Europe and the Americas, is delighted that the recent Brandon Hall Awards have confirmed its views on product quality by awarding two further awards – a Gold and a Silver Award – to the Absorb Anywhere learning management system (LMS).

At this year’s Brandon Hall awards, held in the USA, Blatant Media Corporation – whose products are represented exclusively in Europe by Omniplex – won both a Gold and a Silver award.

The Calgary, Canada-based Blatant Media Corporation licenses the Absorb Learning Management System (SCORM LMS) to organisations for the tracking of online, classroom and practical training. This year it picked up a Gold Award for ‘Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for Global Training’ and a Silver Award for ‘Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for External Training’ for its Absorb LMS.

Last year, Absorb won the Gold Award in the ‘Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for Small- and Medium-Sized Businesses’ category and the Bronze Award in the ‘Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for External Training’ category.

With a unique and intelligent content management system, Absorb can provide language specific training, news, surveys, FAQs, and interfaces based upon a user’s profile. Wherever learners are in the world and whatever their job title, the information they receive will be entirely specific to them and translated appropriately.

The LMS supports multiple languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Dutch, simplified Chinese, Arabic, traditional Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, and Swedish. Additional languages are available on demand.

In addition, the Absorb LMS can be implemented within hours.

The Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Technology Awards, presented annually by Brandon Hall Group at the end of April, recognise and showcase the many technological advances in products for workplace learning each year. The Excellence in Learning Technology Awards program showcases innovations in the products in the marketplace for creating and managing learning, talent, and performance.

“These excellent tools and systems are the cutting edge of learning technology,” said Tom Werner, chief research officer and director of the Awards program. “They really change for the better how people learn in the workplace.”

Other recent awards for Absorb LMS include being named to TrainingIndustry.com’s 2010 list of Top 20 Learning Portal Companies.

More than 1 million employees and students use Absorb every day in over 1,000 companies globally. Among the list of international clients are Oakley, Adobe Software Systems, Dannon, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, American Medical Systems, Aarons, NYU, Websense and Virgin Mobile Canada.

“As a leading provider of e-learning solutions with bases in the UK and North America, Omniplex is delighted to be distributing Blatant Media Corporation’s Award-winning LMS throughout Europe,” commented Matthew Lloyd, Managing Director of Omniplex. “These Brandon Hall Awards aim to ‘spotlight the best and brightest in online learning’ and promote excellence in learning – and, in the case of the Absorb LMS at least, we wholeheartedly endorse the judges’ decision.”

About the Brandon Hall Awards

In the Brandon Hall Learning Awards, independent volunteer judges evaluate submitted entries against defined criteria.

Entries are submitted online in 12 categories and are reviewed by three independent, randomly assigned judges. The judges rate the entries on specific criteria and add written comments. All entrants receive the judges’ comments as feedback.

Medal winners are selected in each category based on the judges’ scores. Winners receive one plaque per entering organisation as well as an electronic medal logo for web and print publishing. The entry fee is the only fee involved in the Awards. Winners pay no additional fees.
