The Holy Synod of the Œcumenical Canonical Orthodox Church Worldwide (ŒCOCW) celebrates the recent addition of a daughter church in Cameroon Africa.
On the feast of Pentecost, the newly accepted order of the Companions of St. Augustine (Des Compagnons de St. Augustine) of Cameroon, Africa became an official daughter church of the ŒCOCW. This new jurisdiction is being led by Monsignor (Archpriest) Peré Didier, C.S.A. who has also been appointed official Apostolic Delegate for the ŒCOCW in his local province.
The position of Apostolic Delegate carries all of the privileges and ecclesiastical dignities commensurate with Monsignor Didier’s status as an Official of the Holy Synod of the Œcumenical Canonical Orthodox Church Worldwide. Monsignor Didier operates under the direct guidance and supervision of the Holy Synod of the ŒCOCW in the person of +Metropolitan Scholarios-Gennadius III, OSB, Protohierarch.
Let it be known forthwith that the Companions of St. Augustine (Des Compagnons de St. Augustine) of Cameroon, Africa at the direction of the Holy Spirit is officially under the ecclesiastical authority and Omophorion of His Eminence, +Metropolitan Scholarios-Gennadius III, OSB and the Holy Synod of the Œcumenical Canonical Orthodox Church Worldwide, Inc., United States of America.
