The Holy Synod of the Œcumenical Canonical Orthodox Church Worldwide (ŒCOCW) publicly pleads for United Nations intervention in the current Libyan to protect the human rights of the Libyan population.
The ŒCOCW calls the attention the United Nations allied forces to observe the human rights of the Libyan people who have long endured political and inhumane treatment during the tyrannical reign of the current government and pleads for compassion during the current crisis. It is important that United Nations forces observe and remain sensitive to the needs the Libyan people rather than focusing exclusively on the dismantling of the current regime.
The Holy Synod of the ŒCOCW calls on all Christians and advocates of human compassion to join in calling for observance of human rights for the innocent citizens of Libya.
