Œcumenical Canonical Orthodox Church Worldwide Mourns the Death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski, Maria Kaczynska and Senior Government Officials in Tragic Plane Crash
The clergy and faithful of the Œcumenical Canonical Orthodox Church Worldwide (ŒCOCW), an international communion of diverse Orthodox / Catholic rites and church jurisdictions, mourns the death of Polish President Lech Kaczysnki, his wife Maria Kaczysnka and senior government officials and expresses its deepest condolences to the people of Poland and their families.
The senior government officials killed in the plane crash were: Alexander Szczyglo, head of the National Security Office, Slawomir Skrzypek, head of the National Bank of Poland, Jerzy Szmajdzinski, deputy parliament speaker, Gen. Franciszek Gagor, head of the army chief of staff, Bishop Tadeusz Ploski, army chaplain, Andrzej Kremer, Deputy Foreign Minister, Andrzej Przewoznik, minister in charge of WWII memorials, Janusz Kochanowski, civil rights commissioner and three lawmakers, Przemyslaw Gosiewski, Zbigniew Wasserman and Grzegorz Dolniak, among others.
We will remember them, their families and friends our prayers during the Divine Liturgy.
