New Steam Pressure Washers with Automatic Shutoff Technology™
WOBURN, MA – September 22, 2009 – Daimer Industries, Inc.®, a major supplier and worldwide exporter of commercial cleaning products, introduced two new stationary electric-powered, multi-mode pressure washer, the Super Max™ 15200 AST and 15400 AST. The machines can clean with cold water, hot water or wet steam and feature Automatic Shut-Off Technology™ (AST®), which switches off key components after 30 seconds of inactivity.
“AST® shuts off pumps and motors when the pressure washers are idle,” said Daimer.com spokesman Matthew Baratta. “These new machines save time and effort and are ideal for operators who are working with long hoses far from the system.”
What is AST®?
AST® works as follows: When engaged, the technology shuts down the pump and motor after 30 seconds if the gun is not in use and water is not flowing through the system. When the power washer operator pulls the trigger again, the motor and pump go on.
This feature is particularly useful for applications in which the pressure washer operator is working a distance from the machine and it is not practical to go back and forth to turn it off during every work break. The motors and pumps in most electric pressure washers remain active whether or not water is flowing through the machine — this can damage the pump and motor.
New Super Max Equipment
Super Max™ 15200 AST power washers offer pressure levels of up to 1000 psi, flow rates of up to 2 GPM and 1.5 HP electric motors. The Super Max™ 15400 machines offer pressure levels of up to 700 psi, flows rate of up to 3 GPM and 1.5 HP electric motors.
Both multi-mode machines can clean with cold water, hot water between 180ºF- 220ºF or wet steam with temperatures of up to 330ºF. The machines can heat with no.1 or no. 2 heating oil; diesel; kerosene; natural gas; or propane. The modest pressure and flow rates, combined with the high-temperature cleaning options make these machines ideal for cleaning delicate surfaces in applications such as auto detailing.
The pressure washing equipment is stationary and includes: a high-pressure hydraulic hose; a three-foot trigger wand with quick disconnect; assorted nozzles; and a powder-coated steel, high gloss, chip/chemical resistant case. Multi-gun operation is available as an extra-cost option.
Daimer® also offers a complete line of cold water-only, gas pressure washers and trailer mounted pressure washers. These gas-powered units do not offer AST®.
