vSCALE C2-C1 and vSCALE C2-C2 are the names of the new, compact operating consoles from Hirschmann Mobile Machine Control Solutions (MCS) for mobile applications under challenging environmental conditions. They round out the product range of the forward-looking iSCALE Control System automation platform.
The vSCALE C2-C1 and vSCALE C2-C2 consoles are compact versions of the 4.3-inch vSCALE family of products and stand out with their excellent user-friendliness and robustness. They can be used exclusively for display purposes or as consoles with touch-screen operation. The new compact versions also meet the same technical requirements and specifications as the well-known vSCALE D2 and D3 consoles: high-resolution screens, an extended temperature range, a large number of communication interfaces, and ruggedness for mobile applications.
The new compact vSCALE C2-C1 version of the 4.3-inch vSCALE consoles is available either as a dedicated display console for visualizing machine information or in combination with integrated controls in the armrest or on the dashboard. The vSCALE C2-C2 version offers additional features: touch-screen operation and a video interface for direct display of FBAS camera signals.
All of the 4.3-inch versions boast a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels for an optimal overview. They feature two separate CAN interfaces (various CAN protocols are supported) as well as an Ethernet and a USB interface. The consoles are also flexibly deployable: they can be installed on the inside or outside of machines and either horizontally or vertically.
The new compact consoles are built to take a beating: the selected displays withstand an extended temperature range from -30 to +70 degrees Celsius, and the True Outdoor housing with a safety rating of IP66/67 is designed for installation under extreme environmental conditions including severe jolts and vibrations.
The application software of the vSCALE operating consoles can be programmed using CoDeSys (IEC 61131-3) or other tools. In addition, Hirschmann MSC offers program libraries for control and safety functions that are specially compiled to meet customer wishes. On request, Hirschmann MCS also handles complete system integration, including all required application programming.
With the advent of the new vSCALE C2-C1 and vSCALE C2-C2 operating consoles, the innovative iSCALE Control System now meets the present and future requirements of mobile applications across all industries.
