Moving to fashion or accessory design is often a popular choice for celebrity models, musicians and actors. Models Direct assess celebrity clothing range news and who we could be seeing making a change in the direction of their celebrity career.

Child star twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have had fashion designing success this year with the launch of their womenswear and eyewear collections. Now, they are preparing for the launch of their teenage clothing line, to be sold at department store chain JC Penney. The collection, called Olsenboye, is an affordable collection of clothes, shoes and handbags, ranging in price from $20-$50.

Victoria Beckham is achieving great things with her clothing range at the moment and now it has been said she will be moving he dVb range on to include shoes and bags. She has made the decision because she is fed up of being a walking promotion of other designer brands. “Victoria is tired of promoting other brands,” a source has told the press. “If she wears Christian Louboutin or Hermes people go and buy it. She thought, ‘why can’t I do this with my own line?’”

Victoria Beckham could find herself competing against a fellow footballer’s wife and X-Factor judge in the future. Cheryl Cole revealed while taking part in a live MySpace chat that she would like to create her own clothing line. However, unlike Victoria Beckham, Cheryl would like to follow in Kate Moss’s footsteps and create a high-street collection. Unfortunately if it does happen it won’t be soon: the stylista will probably be too busy judging the X-Factor and working on her solo career.

Nicole Richie, a renewed favourite in fashion circles and with Models Direct, is releasing a womenswear collection after the huge success of her maternity and jewellery lines. The collection, Winter Kate, named after her daughter, will feature pieces similar to Nicole’s own bohemian style. She is also planning to add shoes to her accessories line, House of Harlow 1960. We’ll have to wait until next year to see the new additions, which will be on sale on www.my-wardrobe.com and in Harrods.

Finally, Brad and Angelina have recently revealed their new jewellery line, to be sold at Asprey stores. The collection features snake design bangles and rings, inspired by a snake ring that Angelina was given when pregnant which she considers to be a talisman and protector of her family. The collection will go on sale this week with net proceeds going to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, a charity co-founded by Angelina.
