Austin, TX — Milton Verret, successful businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist, is pleased to announce the recent purchase of a 2009 Yamaha Star VMax motorcycle from Jay Leno. Verret acquired the bike in October of 2009 through a special auction held by Barrett-Jackson to benefit Bailey’s Cafe, a New York-based charity and community arts program for children.

“I’m excited to have participated in such a worthy cause,” said Milton Verret, who is a sports car enthusiast and successful area businessman.

“The purchase allowed me to own a one-of-a-kind bike while at the same time, make a difference in other people’s lives,” Verret added.

As the winning bidder, Verret also obtained a jacket, helmet and a Jay Leno autograph on the bike itself.  Milton Verret was also able to pick up the bike in person at Jay’s private motorcycle garage, where he received a tour of the facility with his family. The tour was filmed and Verret, along with his newly purchased bike, were later featured in a segment on Jay Leno’s Garage.

In addition to assisting Bailey’s Cafe, Milton Verret has also been involved in several other high-profile charitable events. In a 2007 auction, Verret purchased a collection of giant 10-foot tall, 75-pound guitars and donated them to the city of Austin, with proceeds going to four area charities. The eight guitars were then displayed throughout the city at local businesses, venues and city landmarks.

Milton Verret has plans to participate in future events sponsored by charities that assist underprivileged families, children and adults both in Texas and nationwide.
