12.12.08 – New York, NY – Corporations and individuals can give back to our injured returning by joining forces with The , a program that provides and for wheelchair-bound from and .

The Inspiring Alliance Program, founded by Ruth Adkins, is the official avenue for substantial, non-directed monetary contributions to the Inspiring Alliance, an organization that helps to empower returning disabled Veterans with training and employment.

Diane T. , spokesperson for the organization states, “The Inspiring Alliance Sponsorship Program is the closest and most direct method for a corporation, or individual to support the Inspiring Alliance and our brave, wheelchair bound, disabled Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. We are pleased to announce our 2009 Inspiring Alliance Sponsorship Program, and it’s a great way to give a holiday gift that keeps on giving all year long.”

Creston states, “To show our appreciation to sponsors for their support, we will officially acknowledge the donation via PR involvement (as appropriate according to sponsorship level), sponsor logo and link (depending on the donation level) on the Sponsors or Advocates page on our web site (logo and link subject to approval), and an official Inspiring Alliance logo for the Sponsor’s use on promotional materials, and the web. Major sponsors will also be featured in an educational video that will help to increase awareness for this worthwhile cause, and in our scheduled radio, television, and PBS interviews.”

Inspiring Alliance History

Founder Ruth Adkins states, “The best way for me to describe a reason why Inspiring Alliance came about is to understand what happened on September 11, 2001…

“Our lives were forever changed on that day in history. Those of us not directly affected by the loss of a loved one that day were moved to realize the true cost of our freedoms in this great country we live in. Operation Enduring Freedom, our war against Afghanistan, launched October 7, 2001, and the Iraq War, which launched March 20, 2003, have had devastating affects on our military families. I have listened to story after story from family and friends who have loved ones returning from the war zone whose lives will never be the same because of the ravages of war.

“It is heartbreaking to hear about these men and women who return home disabled, unable to provide for themselves and their families any more because of the consequence of war. They feel abandoned, their self-esteem destroyed, and they are unsure of their future or how they can even begin to participate in society again.

“I, for one, believe in the abilities of these valiant men and women who laid their life on the line defending our freedom. Their body may be different, but their character is still intact. They still maintain those core values that made them a good soldier or marine, and our Inspiring Alliance program wants to empower these Veterans by rebuilding their confidence, and by showing them they can again succeed on their own merits. We want to assist them in overcoming obstacles and put them back on the road to achieving their goals and aspirations again!

“My father made a comment to me just weeks before he passed away in 1989 that has stayed with me through the years. During a conversation about concerns in my life at that time, Dad set out to help me overcome some of life’s greatest obstacles. He simply stated “You can achieve anything in life because you believe you will” – a precept I intend to pass along, in my father’s spirit, to our Inspiring Alliance team members as they overcome life’s greatest challenges to restore order to their lives again. We need to remember that we can have anything in life we want so long as we help those in our circle of influence achieve their hopes and dreams as well!”

Why should I sponsor the Inspiring Alliance?

While all of the administrative effort is currently through unpaid volunteers, we need financial assistance to expand the program and our efforts on behalf of severely injured Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

By sponsoring the Inspiring Alliance, you show your support for our mission and help sustain a vibrant organization. Sponsorship also shows your support for the families and friends of returning Veterans, and it provides you the opportunity to “give back” to the community. Finally, sponsorship also provides an opportunity to set an example for employees and other corporate leaders.

How will my sponsorship funds be used?

We have the normal business operating expenses, which include:

* Training, training materials and equipment costs
* Bandwidth costs
* Servers and hardware
* Legal, accounting, and administrative costs
* Travel expenses associated with on-site training
* Marketing and PR

Your sponsorship will allow the Inspiring Alliance to meet these expenses as well as expand its capability to maintain our leadership in the military communities. Funding will allow us to perform pro-active training programs and materials, enhance our community outreach and enhance awareness for this cause.

The Inspiring Alliance is in the middle of its approval process for the status of a private operating foundation that is registered as a non-profit, charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.

There are various 12-month sponsorship levels, defined by donation and in-return benefits of sponsorship as listed below.
