LogiXML, the web-based business intelligence (BI) software provider, is demonstrating its agile and sophisticated technology at Parkex, Europe’s largest dedicated trade Parking Exhibition, which is being held at the National Hall, Olympia, London, on 17th and 18th April.
In addition to having its technology and parking industry related solutions on display at booth P64, LogiXML will feature in a seminar presentation by John Galsworthy, head of parking and business service at Islington Council. Islington Council uses LogiXML BI software to ensure a cost-effective and ‘lean’ use of resources – including reduced contract costs, reduced staff overhead and improved customer relations – providing value for money for ratepayers.
“Being a local authority, we need technology that is cost effective, scalable, and easy to use,” said Galsworthy. “Additionally, all technology must integrate with – rather than replicate – data.
“We considered all the BI vendors on the Gartner Magic Quadrant for BI and selected LogiXML because it was the simplest to use, conveniently priced, had the lowest on-going cost overhead and was able give us a level of integration that was better than we needed,” he added.
Using Logi Info – LogiXML’s BI flagship software solution – allows the Council’s parking enforcement reporting system to scan 2.5 million records in only 1.6 seconds. Previously, similar queries required eight hours with the embedded Crystal reports.
Additionally, Islington parking enforcement managers can now see the activity of all the Council’s civil enforcement officers (CEOs) – the people who issue parking tickets – in real time. Customisable dashboards integrate with Google Earth Enterprise and include real-time parking performance, live ticket issuing and the whereabouts of the CEOs.
“Tracking staff performance and improving processes, has enabled productivity across the board to increase by 15 per cent,” said Galsworthy.
Logi Info includes the ability to instantly access individual parking tickets, analyse CCTV evidence to judge if complaints are justified, view the history of individual vehicles and drivers, query the system (to find addresses for those receiving tickets), and issue immediate responses. This settles cases effectively, improves customer service and saves money.
LogiXML International’s European Director, Simon Ryan, commented: “Logi Info is the fastest way for developers and IT to create and deliver BI applications to any desktop or mobile device.
“Creating sophisticated applications with Logi Info takes only a fraction of the time of required by traditional BI solutions because Logi Info provides a code-free development environment that dramatically reduces the effort and cost of creating and maintaining BI applications.
“LogiXML’s approach enables organisations to deliver insight and understanding of critical data to employees, customers, and partners,” he continued. “Our technology is the fastest way to create BI applications, deploy scalable dashboard reporting, and embed analytics into existing applications – all at a fraction of the cost of other solutions.”
At Parkex, which organised on behalf of the British Parking Association, Ryan and his colleagues will be demonstrating how LogiXML’s agile technology allows organisations to deploy sophisticated BI applications rapidly to any number of users on any platform, without per-user fees, and without extensive development or professional services.
