Lennar Virginia Urges First-Time Homebuyers To Take Advantage of $8,000 Tax Credit Before Time Runs Out

Chantilly, VA—With the expiration date of November 30, 2009 quickly approaching, time is running out for first-time homebuyers who want to take advantage of the government issued $8,000 tax credit.

Because homes must close on or before November 30, 2009, it is very important that buyers act quickly, says Brenda Sharp, director of sales and marketing for Lennar’s Virginia Division.

“Now is the time to get off the fence and into a new home,” Sharp said. “ The opportunity for a tax credit this significant may never happen again.”

To make it easier for a first-time homebuyer to close on their home on or before the November 30 deadline, Lennar is offering several homes in communities throughout Virginia that are available for immediate occupancy. Participating communities include: Melody Landing At River Oaks in Woodbridge, Lee’s Parke in Fredericksburg and Groveton Woods in Alexandria.

Melody Landing At River Oaks is Lennar’s premier townhome-style condominium community in Woodbridge. Available homes offer two or three bedrooms and luxury upgrades including hardwood floors, a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and a stainless steel appliance package. Homes are priced from the mid $200,000s on immediate deliveries.

Located in the heart of historic Fredericksburg is Lennar’s award-winning active adult community, Lee’s Parke. The community’s low maintenance homes are priced from the mid $200,000s and feature desired options that can include hardwood floors, stainless steel kitchen appliances, granite countertops, decks and patios. Lees’s Parke offers residents a host of amenities such as a clubhouse with fitness center, indoor and outdoor resort-style pool, tennis courts and a billiard room.

Only two townhome-style condominiums remain at Groveton Woods, Lennar’s community in Alexandria. Homes that offer three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and 1,778 to 1,790 square feet of living space are highlighted by an incredible amenity package that includes hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, upgraded cabinetry, granite countertops, trey ceiling in the Master Bedroom and a gas fire place in the Great Room. Because the homes are ADA compliant they come fully equipped with an elevator for easier transportation, grab bars in the bathrooms and an oversized one-car garage.

Groveton Woods is convenient to Washington DC, Old Town Alexandria and the Huntington Metro. Homes in Groveton Woods are priced from the $300,000s.
