HANOVER, PA – Inventor Robert Thomaz announces his patented invention— the Left Footrest for Motor Vehicle Operators (Patent Number D570,764).
Inventor Thomaz developed this clever innovation, which is an adjustable and removable footrest for a motorist’s left foot that enhances comfort and safety while driving. The footrest consists of a plastic track that is conformable to the surface of the driver’s side foot well. This strip is held in place by an array of nubs that penetrate and grip the carpet surface. It may also be held in place with a series of fasteners that screw into the sheet metal floor pan or other substantial structure. A triangularly-shaped rubber block is provided on the top of the plastic track. This rubber block can be positioned anywhere along the track. In such a manner the driver may position the plastic block anywhere that is comfortable given their height and leg length. While driving, the motorist’s left foot is placed upon the invention, thus keeping it in a natural and comfortable position. The use of the Left Footrest for Automatic Transmission Motor Vehicles provides a comfortable foot rest for the driver’s left foot in a manner that is easy and effective.
