Lean Six Sigma for Government Book Release
Enabling Leaders to understand the Lean Six Sigma Process.
July 15, 2011 — Steven C. Wilson one of the leading Lean Six Sigma trainers in the state of Iowa has released his first book, Lean Six Sigma for Government. The book is available on Amazon in print or CD-ROM format. It can also be downloaded as a PDF on LeanSixSigmaforGovernment.com.
Author Wilson states, “Lean Six Sigma is not a complex process if you understand the theory behind it. But to begin any journey you need a starting point and a solid base of knowledge to provide direction. Leaders do not need to know the intricacies of DMAIC, DMADV and Variation. They do not need to know when to use Binary Logistic Regression. Lean Six Sigma for Government is not a lesson, nor is it a case study. It is not a “How-to” manual or a proclamation telling a leader “What-to–do”. It is simply an enabler, providing a leader the opportunity to lead.”
Lean Six Sigma is a widely used and a very effective process for reducing waste and increasing efficiency and thus productivity in business settings and sometimes even in government and the not-for-profit world.
