Where HAUNTED differs from the other Paranormal Magazines that are out there, good though they are, is that it does not focus its attention on just certain aspects of the paranormal. HAUNTED believes that there are essentially three main areas of the paranormal:
a) Razzmatazz / Bums on Seats – This is the area that has tended to be overlooked by the current crop of magazines that are out there. Most Haunted on Living TV is one of the most watched non-terrestrial television programme out there and has resulted in several “paranormal” shows being launched on various channels (mainstream and non-terrestrial). Every year, Horror films are getting scarier and gorier and more box-officey and every year UK theme parks are intent on scaring the wits out of people with their Halloween induced “paranormal” rides and attractions. The first issue of HAUNTED has a look at what some Theme Parks are intent on doing to scare the wits out of you this Halloween. The Paranormal is a multi-million pound history, 85% of attractions in the UK, be it a farm, theme park, gallery, library all do something weird and wonderful during the “Halloween” week (usually kids half-term). No other magazine targets this audience, but HAUNTED will.
b)Spiritual Connection – Mediums and Psychics have not just sprung up in the last 20/30 years, their heyday was actually over 150 years ago, during the Victorian era. There has always been this believer / sceptic / non-believer versus fraudulent / fake / self-induced trances argument and it will continue to be so. However one cannot dismiss the spiritual element in a paranormal magazine, HAUNTED will feature some well-known and not so well-known mediums who have written some real thought provoking insights into their world. However, HAUNTED will always try to be impartial and will be throwing down the other side of the coin. The life and times of Derren Brown is an excellent feature paying homage to the man who admits that he is neither clairvoyant nor psychic in any way and uses magic, misdirection, showmanship and the skills of the late great Victorian charlatans to wow the present day audiences. Future issues of HAUNTED will delve deeper into Spiritualism with a fantastic feature on the history of the Spiritualist Church.
c) Dark & Demonic – Black Magic, Witchcraft, Sacrificial Gatherings and Zombies are still known to be prominent in some parts of the world and have been the source of some of the Horror film industry’s best “blood and gore” movies. Where would we be without Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers and such forth, all masters in the art of walking slowly, never dying and killing people? The first issue of HAUNTED delves into the world of one such “artiste” by bringing you the Body Count of Jason Voorhees, how, where and when he did what he does best. There will always be a dark and demonic side to the paranormal, lest not forget the infamous writings and experiments of Aleister Crowley. All three of these “sides” crossover into each others territory now and then, that’s what makes the paranormal so interesting.
HAUNTED is the first magazine to come from newly formed ANON Publications. Paul Stevenson, owner of ANON Publications says “this has been a five year dream in the making, some may say nightmare and now HAUNTED is ready to be released into the real world”.
HAUNTED will cost £4 per issue BUT gives massive discounts to subscribers:- 1 Year Subscription (SIX Issues) £16 saving £8
2 Year Subscription (TWELVE Issues) £30 saving £18
3 Year Subscription (EIGHTEEN Issues) £42 saving £30

Paul continues “We are not IPC Media, or EMAP. Essentially, I am a one man band, an ex freelance writer who hopes he has found a gap in the market and along with the help of a young up and coming talented designer has produced a fun and entertaining paranormal magazine that respects all criteria of the paranormal industry but entertains its readers.”
HAUNTED will be available via mail order per issue or subscription, will be trading at various psychic, mind, body and soul fayres throughout the UK and will be available in many gift shops of “haunted” locations all over the country.
The first issue of HAUNTED features 13 competitions with an amazing 666 prizes to be given away and an interactive website www.hauntedmagazine.co.uk to accompany the magazine will launch in November.
