(Lancaster, PA)…Sonora Los Fantasticos will celebrate a CD release party for their latest release entitled “Pa’ Que Goces”, on Friday January, 16, 2008.
The event will take place at Rumbha Lounge located on the second floor of the Hotel Brunswick, 151 North Queen St. Lancaster, PA 17603. The event is being held in conjunction with the South Central PA Salsa Meet Up Salsa Celebration which is sponsored in part by Kenneth M. Kitay & Associates.
In the last 5 years Lancaster has seen cultural growth not only in the downtown arts sector but in live music as well and specifically Latin music. Though Latin music has been an identifiable part of the Lancaster’s rapidly growing Latino community, Salsa dancing has gained the attention of the main stream community and on any given evening you can catch a salsa lesson either at the Rumbha Lounge or any of the nearby newly opened dance schools.
At the forefront of this dance craze stands Sonora Los Fantasticos whose salsa rhythms have helped spread the music to the entire community, through their performances at CommUnity Day events, Festivals, Twin Brook Winery, and Lancaster Dance Club’s “Dancing Under the Stars”.
For this reason it seemed only fitting that Los Fantasticos will celebrate their second CD release party with their friends of the South Central PA Salsa Meetup Group. The band will hold a press conference to talk about their new production followed by a brief meet and greet session with fans.
The event is being hosted by The South Central PA Salsa Meetup Group who will offer a free Salsa workshop with Eileen Torres of Washington, DC. A “Jack & Jill” Salsa dance contest will be part of the festivities and & Guest DJ Sazam of Philadelphia will also be on hand.
