ISC Introduces New Rackmount Powerstips – Power Distribution Units with Environmental Monitoring
Mansfield, TX September 8, 2010. ISC, Information Support Concepts, Inc announces RacSense Master RSM Rackmount Powerstrips and Vertical Power Distribution Units that incorporate environmental monitoring.
Today’s servers are running much hotter than older style servers and are causing hot spots in cabinets that don’t always manifest in overall hot isle or room temperature increases. The RSM series incorporates environmental monitoring with the power in one housing saving space and increasing efficiency. With server racks filled to capacity, it is now more important than ever to monitor temperature and humidity in each rack to maintain consistent, efficient running servers.
The housing can be rackmount powerstrips, power distribution units and vertical powerstrips with 15, 20 and 30 amp options. The environmental sensors have user defined alarm thresholds and real time remote notification that make it ideal for uptime assurance.
The RSM series allows for most all types of receptacles used in modern data centers and can be a valuable tool for decreasing server down time due to excess heat and humidity.
