IPTI Introduces Game Changing Conveyor Control Technology at Modex 2012 – Pick-MAX VDT

Innovative Picking technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Matthews International (Nasdaq: MATW) introduces a patent pending new technology for conveyor control. The company refers to this new technology as the “Virtual Data Tag” under the brand name Pick-MAX VDT.
This technology enables a conveyor systems to literally control themselves without the need for PLCs, field wiring, or control panels. The technology is adapted to 24VDC Motorized Roller conveyors. The technology emulates the functionality of RFID without the need for RFID tags or reader/writers. The technology greatly reduces the installed cost of conveyor systems by eliminating the control portion of automated conveyor systems.
