developed this clever innovation, which is a textile boot designed to be worn with open-toed orthopedic casts. The device is similar in design to a large boot and is placed around the foot, ankle and toe areas where it is secured with a series of hook-and-loop fasteners. The device is available in multiple styles for different environmental conditions. A version for warm weather use is made of a thin, breathable material with a waterproof protective covering, while a version for cold weather has a fleece lining and a double layer of fleece around the open toe area. All versions are provided with a non-slip coating on the sole to assist in walking. One sole version is designed to be worn indoors, while another can be used outdoors. The use of the Foot Warmer for Open-Toed Casts provides wearers of casts, splints and other orthopedic devices a means to cover their feet, ankles and toes while protecting their cast.
