Solar inverter manufacturer showcases new product portfolio and intelligent additional functions

Mumbai, 15th June, 2012 – REFUsol, one of the leading manufacturers of solar inverters, is exhibiting at this year’s Intersolar Europe, showcasing new inverters in all performance classes, as well as innovative communication and monitoring solutions for photovoltaic systems. Intersolar Europe will take place from June 13 to 15, 2012 in Munich, Germany.
One of the highlights of this year is the new three-phase string inverter REFUsol 023K–460 VAC, which was specially designed for medium-voltage applications in large PV plants. Even with low irradiation, the inverter reaches an efficiency factor of more than 98 per cent across a broad input voltage range. Using an integrated data logger, operators of PV systems moreover are able to monitor and to analyse the profitability of their installations online via the monitoring portal REFUlog. The data is transferred via Ethernet or optional via the wireless REFUconnect module. With its low weight and high power density, the inverter can be installed quickly and easily. Thanks to convection cooling the device is totally maintenance-free.
The new inverter REFUsol 023K ideally complements the existing portfolio of the string inverters REFUsol 008K – 020K with 400 VAC and the new central inverter REFUsol 333K with 690 VAC.
With a power rating of 333kW and the patented UltraEta® circuit topology, REFUsol 333K reaches a maximum efficiency factor of 98.5 per cent, which allows for an optimized energy conversion and use. With a higher AC voltage of 690 V, the inverter corresponds to the established standard voltage levels of industrial grids and wind power stations. Thus, also industrially manufactured standard transformers and compensators can be used. In combination with a possibly higher DC voltage up to 1500 V, further potentials for a reduction of the overall systems costs arise.
Additionally, REFUsol showcases the newest version of the monitoring portal REFUlog and the REFUlog app which is available free of charge for Android and iOS-Smartphones. With the optimised email reports, monitoring of PV installations now has become even easier: the display of additional parameters as well as new export functions were added. Moreover, the statistic functions were optimised in the pro version.
With the REFUlog app for Smartphones, operators can monitor the efficiency of their photovoltaic system from a distance. The app now includes tabular statistics and a new user-friendly view in horizontal format for tables and graphics. Furthermore, from now on specific sorting and filtering configurations as well as current values per solar system and inverter can be displayed.
