Illusionist to Attempt World Record in Ormond Beach, FL!

On Saturday, August 29, 2009, Illusionist David DaVinci will attempt to break a long standing world record. In a true test of endurance and skill, David will attempt to beat a world record set on September 27, 2003, by James Peters (UK) who escaped from a straitjacket 193 times in eight hours at the YMCA in Chelmsford, Essex. David will begin his journey to the record books in Rockefeller Gardens at the Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach. In addition to performing the escape as many times as possible during the 8 hour period, DaVinci will be up against the Florida heat and Rain, as he presents the escapes live outdoors, in front of anyone who walks by.
Mayor Costello has even agreed to tie David up for his last escape of the day, you’ll for sure not want to miss this! He’ll be live on stage at 4:56PM sharp!
DaVinci is currently wrapping up his 2009 North American Tour, and is making appearances locally at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center on September 5th and 6th, before he heads out on his world tour in 2010-2011. This year’s show is titled “Enigma” and is packed full of punches and amazing illusions. “The mayor has even agreed to let me cut him in half this year! Let’s just hope there are no mishaps,” DaVinci comments with a smirk.
