HostelBookers launches 8 more languages

London (MMD Newswire) Novembre 6, 2009 — HostelBookers has launched 8 new languages on its website in an attempt to provide a better quality of service to its non-English speaking customers, after recent research revealed that it was attracting a large and ever growing audience from across Europe.

Users will now be able to view the site in Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese and Swedish, taking the total number of languages available on the site up to 11.

Together with the launch of the new languages, HostelBookers has also launched multi-lingual blogs in Italian, French, Spanish and German providing useful tips and advice to travelers from great places to stay to dos and don’ts when traveling.

The company already has a multi-lingual customer services department and this latest announcement comes on the back of the successful launch of the Spanish and German languages back in July.

Further changes are expected in the near future as the company continues to look to embrace its growing international following.

David Smith, chief operating officer at HostelBookers, said: “This is great news and is yet another step in the right direction for the company. The launch of the new languages will make the site more user-friendly and accessible for our ever growing international market. I am delighted with the progress we’ve made in 2009. It’s been a successful year and we have every reason to be optimistic going into 2010.”

2009 has seen HostelBookers hold its first summer sale and in September be announced 5.1% cheaper on average than its nearest competitor, Hostelworld, after independent research carried out by Reed Business Insight.

The company currently features more than 16,000 hostels in over 3,000 destinations and is the only website in the industry not to charge a booking fee.
