Full Beam Ahead, London singer songwriter makes Live & Unsigned 2010 London Final

22 year old Marconi Beam, currently living in North London has wowed the judging panel and sailed through the audition stage of Live and Unsigned. Marconi will now be competing against the other most talented bands and artists in the country at the live shows of Live and Unsigned 2010 – all in a bid to be signed!

Marconi battled against hundreds of auditionees to secure a spot in the live shows and now has the opportunity to prove that he is the best in the region. Acts that have made it through auditions will now take part in a live head to head battle in front of thousands of spectators.

Currently living in the Haringey area of London, Marconi says,

“I’m really calling out to Londoners to support me and get me to the Live & Unsigned National Final.”

“I have been part of the community in North London, advising and supporting young people facing issues around drugs and alcohol.”

“I really want to go as far as possible and show young people that with a bit of hard work you really can achieve your goals and your dreams.”

Marconi says, “I have always wanted to sing, I always thought that somehow the opportunity just lands on your lap. Recently I realised that it doesn’t and that you have to work for it. Since then, already I have found myself in one of the UK’s largest music competitions.”

Coming from an under privileged family, Marconi was frequently bullied and picked on at school.

“I’ve been living and working independently since I was 15. It’s been tough but I finally feel like I am starting to make progress on my dream of becoming a star. I really hope that my story will inspire other young people in London and encourage them not to give up and that if they work hard enough they will be able to achieve whatever it is that they want.”

The winners of 2010 will be thrust into the media spotlight through television, radio and the press and will have the opportunity to tour the UK. The tour involves as many as 100 gigs across the UK including the chance to perform live at some well known festivals. One contestant who has caught the judge’s eye this year is local talent Marconi Beam, now competing in the Regional Final. Marconi made it through the auditions at Hayes in West London amongst hundreds that queued for their turn in front of the judges. Marconi is now preparing for the live show on 28th March at The Beck Theatre in Hayes, London for the opportunity to progress towards the Live and Unsigned festival at the O2 in London.
