Festival of colours – Holi celebrated with Foreign Delegates

A troupe of delegates from Singapore visited St. Edmund's School, Jawaha Nagar to celebrate Holi. The troupe consisted of teachers also who exchanged
the methods of teaching and explanation with the teachers of the school.
They were really impressed with the techniques and curriculum of the school,
which is being provided to the students.

They were also told about the importance and uniqueness of various colours
in our lives. They were welcomed in traditional manner by garlanding putting
natural colours on their rosy cheeks. They were delighted by the hospitality
of Indian.

Folk tales of Holi and traditional songs of Radha-Krishna were the center of
attraction for them and they danced to the tunes of these songs. They really
enjoyed their short stay in the school.

In the end Principal Mrs. Meena Singh highlighted the importance of Holi and
its celebrations. She told them that this is the onset of new season and new
crop is being harvested in the fields. They appreciated the efforts of the
staff members and presented a memento as a token of appreciation and
gratitude to the Deputy Director Mr. Kapil Singh.
