Fashion and Culture in Los Angeles, is an important documentary film and production. Filmmaker Catherine Bauknight will interviewing for the film during Fashion Week in Los Angeles, March 15th – 18th. This will be a production with Style Fashion Week.
Cirque du Soleil has confirmed involvement (previewing their new show that will debut in LA this summer) and Madame Tussaudswill be unveiling Lady GaGa’s wax double at our event. This will be such a fun component and is huge. Facebook is streaming the shows live.
This on-location studio regarding “Why LA,” why you live, design, work, and play in L.A. This will become a segment in the film.

The documentary will feature designers, such as, Jeff Rudes of J-Brand jeans, Sue Wong, Kevan Hall, Greg Alterman, CCO of Alternative Apparel, their work and the fashion industry of Los Angeles. The film will explore fashion as a lifestyle. It is also a journey into making Los Angeles a hub for fashion and “making it in America”. Through the film we will raise awareness of this social movement and help improve the economic struggles that we face in the U.S. through the fashion industry.
The film is directed by Catherine Bauknight, who recently completed the 7-time award winning film, “Hawaii A Voice for Sovereignty.
