A local business mum of two has plans well underway for her first baby fair, to be held in Northallerton in November. Cari Parker, director of The Dales Party Company Ltd, came up with the idea after approaching larger events for exhibition space and finding the costs way over her budget. While searching for smaller events she found lots of like minded business mums and so Coochie Cou was born.

“I liked the idea of small businesses supporting each other” says Cari, 37 “a lot of the time I cannot get to networking events so organising my own baby fair seems like a good way to meet other local business owners while raising my own brand awareness and helping cashflow during a difficult trading period.”

Plans are going so well she has already booked a further baby fair for next year in Middlesbrough, and is now looking to secure sponsorship for all the events. “The sponsorship packages available will enable local businesses to reach their target audience, we will be printing around 20,000 leaflets and posters for each baby fair which will be distributed around the region. They will also benefit from prime exhibition space at the events with guaranteed traffic to their stand on the day.” says Cari.

Entry to the baby fairs is free, with the first visitors getting a free goody bag packed with offers and samples.
