Amidst global tour planning for his band Asteroid Funk, Stevie Hawkins heads to Hollywood for the second time this year for the Indie Music Channel Awards. Hawkins is nominated in the blues category, “Best Male Blues Artist” and “Best Blues Live Performance”. The nominations were based upon the song “Everything Is Subject To Change”, written by Charlotte Hannon and Stevie Hawkins, and were determined by a panel of music industry judges. Hawkins was recently nominated in the 2012 Artists In Music Awards held February 10th in Hollywood, where he won “Best Jazz Artist”, and was nominated as “Best Blues Artist”.
Christopher Ewing, Emmy Award winning TV host, actor & model, and founder of the Indie Music Channel, will host a private pre-awards party for the nominees Saturday April 28, 2012, from 1:00 until 5:00 PM, at the legendary motion picture and television production facility, Sunset Gower Studios, in Hollywood. Nominees will have the opportunity to network with Indie artists, music, and television and film industry executives. There will also be a jam session for the nominees to participate at the pre-awards party.
The Red Carpet awards event will take place Sunday April 29, 2012, beginning at 6:30 PM, in the Foundation Room at the House Of Blues on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. The awards show starts at 7:00 PM and runs until 10:30 PM. Immediately following the awards, there will be an After Party, featuring entertainment by some of the exceptional artists of the Indie Music Channel, including performances by: SharBaby & the Rhythm Blues Band, Diamante, Amanda Morgan, Viktoria Tocca,, Noize from the Basement, and others. Industry leaders in all areas of television, music, and film and will be attending the event.
