EgisTec Brings Fingerprint Solution to New ASUS P30 and P80 Notebooks

By adopting EgisTec’s patented Fly-Estimation™ technology, the lightweight notebooks with SS801U sensor performs better compared to other ordinary sensors. The SS801U, EgisTec’s latest sensor is designed for NB and PC peripheral applications. Based on EgisTec’s unique E-Field imaging technology patent with only a few MOS transistors in every sensor pixel, the SS801U sensor can differentiate between very small capacitance variations to create a 3D fingerprint image with perfect graying levels. The anti-spoofing ability can protect users from fraudsters who use fake fingerprints to access stolen computers. The self-calibrating sensor is both accurate and reliable, even under different skin surface conditions like dryness, sweatiness and oiliness.

Designed for busy business professionals who require maximum efficiency and data security, the new notebooks also offer fingerprint identity controls provided by EgisTec. ASUS AI Pre-Boot Finger Logon provides the new notebooks with secure PC logon by fingerprint and supports Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA), thereby greatly reducing the risk of data theft or loss. Users no longer need to remember numerous IDs and passwords as they can just recall the stored data from their Password Bank authenticated by their unique fingerprints. In addition, with EgisTec’s patented SwipeOne○R feature, users can simply launch websites and auto-login with a simple swipe of the finger.
