EARTH wins ‘Book of the Year’
GALLEY CLUB AWARDS 2009
The winners of the 2009 Galley Club Awards have been announced.
The awards, in their 33rd year, celebrate excellence in book and magazine production. The ceremony was held on Friday 19 June, 2009 at Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia and was hosted by comedian James O’Loughlin. Around 150 industry professionals were in attendance. Book of the Year went to EARTH, the limited edition, leather bound World Atlas published by Millennium House and distributed in the UK by the cartographers Global Mapping. Only 200 copies of Earth are allocated for sale in the UK although the Imperial Gold edition is available from the Private Collections Division for discerning investors and corporates.
Notes for Editors
Earth is the largest published atlas and dwarf’s other publications. It has 580 pages including 355 maps of 194 countries, over 350,000 words and over 800 beautiful images from the World’s best photographers including National Geographic. It has been printed as a limited edition restricted to 2000 copies in Blue leather and 1000 copies in Gold leather. Earth weighs 30KGs with its presentation case which makes it heavier than your allowance when flying!
