Singing Superstar Signs Deal with the Trump Taj Mahal

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – - Doreen Taylor has signed an exclusive ten week performance deal to perform her signature one-woman show at “Ego” in the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ.
“Ego” is Atlantic City’s most seductive nightlife destination – complete with a huge dance floor and the hottest live performances anywhere at the New Jersey shore. The Taj Mahal is thrilled to welcome Doreen Taylor to their roster for the summer of 2009.
She will be appearing every Friday and Saturday (5:00-9:00pm) starting Friday July 3rd and running until Saturday September 5th.
She provides a one-of-a-kind, non-stop dance party unlike any other found anywhere. A unique and incomparable talent, Doreen possesses one of the best voices anywhere in the industry and completes this amazing four hour experience with dancing, DJ, trivia, giveaways and so much more… this is a show that should not be missed!

ABOUT DOREEN TAYLOR

Doreen Taylor is a classically trained singer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal performance from the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT and a Masters degree in Opera performance from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is extremely versatile and unique with acclaimed professional performances in genres such as opera, musical theater, country, jazz, and swing/standards and pop.
In addition to numerous leading operatic roles in many opera companies throughout the United States, including the prestigious Des Moines Metro Opera Company, she has had lead roles in two Broadway national tour companies. Her musical theater company credits throughout the country are “Christine” in the Phantom of the Opera , “Mother” in Ragtime, “Magnolia” in Showboat, “Laurie” in Oklahoma!, “Kim” in Bye Bye Birdie, “Dorothy La Brock” in 42nd Street, “Maria” in West Side Story and “Maria” in The Sound of Music and operatic leading roles as “Abigail” in The Crucible, “Birdie” in Regina, “Magda” in La Rondine, “Suor Angelica” inSuor Angelica by Puccini, “Donna Anna” in Don Giovanni and “Juliette” in Romeo et Juliette. She originated the lead role of “Cunegonde” in Philadelphia’s Scottish Opera premiere of “Candide” where the Philadelphia Daily News critically acclaimed her as “an up and coming star…amazing” and the lead role of “Tytania” in A Midsummer Night’s Dream where the Philadelphia Inquirer stated, “She possesses the voice of an angel…flawless and beautiful”.
Growing up in a small town outside of Buffalo, NY, Doreen Taylor began professionally performing at a very young age. She is not only a superb singer, but has won numerous awards in songwriting, acting and dancing. A former “beauty queen”, Doreen has been a model for several publications and has been showcased in several performing groups, including but not limited to, Spirit of Youth- an international singing and dancing tour group based out of New York. She has performed the National Anthem for the Philadelphia Phantoms, New York Islanders, Boston Bruins and Buffalo Bisons. She recently was selected to perform for The Philadelphia 13th Annual Law Enforcement Run and Head to Head: Celebrity Boxing 7. Ms. Taylor was the featured soloist with the Golden State Pops Orchestra in Los Angeles and has performed extensively in Atlantic City Casinos and countless venues throughout the country. Doreen Taylor released her first demo CD, “Unbreakable” to rave reviews and has had air play on several Philadelphia radio stations. She was also a featured solo singer in the “Smokin’ Joe Frazier Revue” opposite the great former heavyweight champ, Joe Frazier.
