DECORATIVE COMPARTMENTALIZED ITEM DISPENSER AIDS IN THE STORING & DISPENSING OF ORAL MEDICATIONS, SUPPLEMENTS OR VITAMINS

As the medical profession continues to break new ground in disease prevention and control, a steady stream of new drugs, vitamins and supplements enter doctors’ offices, pharmacies and stores for consumption by patients worldwide. As our society becomes more and more sophisticated, the strife for health and longevity results in many of us relying on these modern remedies as part of a daily maintenance regiment.

As such, our kitchen countertops and cabinets quickly fill up with multiple different bottles of these drugs, vitamins and supplements. Not only are such containers unsightly, they also pose a health risk should one accidentally grab the wrong container or take the wrong dosage. Such a situation is further complicated in the case of multiple people living in the same house taking different medications.

Inventor of Nokomis, FL, has developed a clever innovation that is a decorative canister that aids the user in the storing and dispensing of various oral medications, supplements or vitamins that need to be taken on a regular basis.

appears to be a conventional round canister, approximately the size of a cookie jar. However, after closer inspection, it can be seen that when the lid is removed, eight pie-shaped hoppers are exposed for the purposes of holding various vitamins, supplements, medications and similar pill-sized items. The entire canister rotates about a “Lazy Susan”-type base. As such, the user simply spins the decorative canister around, and the medications or supplements are dispensed through the device’s one opening. Replaceable labels are provided on the exterior to indicate the contained tablets in each of the eight hoppers. The use of the invention provides users with a means to store and dispense various medications, vitamins, diet supplements and the like, without the necessity of multiple unattractive bottles.
