Dannii Minogue to host Ultimate Movie Toons
ITV1 announces a new one off Entertainment special called ‘Ultimate Movie Toons’ which will air on the channel early in 2010. The X Factor’s Dannii Minogue has been signed up to present this unique family Entertainment experience for all fans of animated movies.
Everything from the early classics like Snow White and Pinocchio, right through to the modern day masterpieces such as Madagascar and Happy Feet will feature in the show. But it will be left to the public to decide the Ultimate Movie Toon as they have been voting online at www.itv.com/movietoons, choosing between hits like The Lion King’s ‘Circle of Life’, ‘The Bare Necessities’ from The Jungle Book, Toy Story’s ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’.
The show brings together the nation’s best loved and most magical animated movie ‘toons’ of all time, the most popular songs will be performed live by original artists and special guest stars during the show, including Katherine Jenkins, Mika, Michael Ball, Pixie Lott, the cast of Lion King, Denise Van Outen and many more.
Ultimate Movie Toons features privileged access to digitally re-mastered footage from the biggest and most loved animations of all time – and viewers will hear from some of the nation’s best-loved celebrities on why certain songs top their personal lists.
Host Danni Minogue will count down through the closest contenders for the top spot, before finally revealing the nation’s Ultimate Movie Toon.

Ultimate Movie Toons has been commissioned by Elaine Bedell – ITV’s Director of Entertainment and Comedy and John Kaye Cooper – ITV’s Controller of Entertainment and will be executive produced by John Quinn & Stuart Shawcross and produced by Kevin Mundye for ITV1.
