Betdaq offers Royal Ascot punters the chance to win 12% of a racehorse

Tuesday 14th July 2011 – BETDAQ, the global betting exchange, is offering all its members the chance to win 12% of a top prospect racehorse.

Anyone placing a bet of at least £/€10 on any race at Royal Ascot during the five-day festival (Tuesday 14th June to Saturday 18th June) will be entered into the draw. The competition winner will get full syndicate ownership benefits in the Diamond Racing filly Sammie Fallon.

Sammie Fallon, expected to make her debut this summer, has been sired by Intikhab who also sired Snow Fairy, winner of the 2010 English Oaks.

The competition is open to existing BETDAQ members as well as new sign-ups and each member is allowed one entry per race, so a qualifying bet on four different races would result in four separate draw entries.

BETDAQ marketing director Shane McLaughlin said: “I’m sure most punters have always dreamed of owning their own racehorse and the lucky winner of this competition will get to experience all the thrills without the costs. Sammie Fallon has a great pedigree and is a top prospect. We can’t wait to see her in action next month.”

About Betdaq

BETDAQ – the trading name of the Global Betting Exchange – was founded in 2000 by Irish businessman Dermot Desmond, whose many business interests focus on key sector areas of technology, leisure, transport and include the world famous luxury resort, Sandy Lane, in Barbados, and a major shareholding in Glasgow Celtic Football Club.

The company started trading in September 2001 as a result of the growing trend in person-to-person business models such as Ebay and consumer demand for competitive odds on sports betting.
