Newton, Massachusetts, 19 March 2012 – The Pioneer Valley has a new queen in town, as Jennifer Hardy, Mrs. Massachusetts-America 2011, proudly handed over her crown and title to her successor, Barrie Ann Lynch. Barrie was crowned Mrs. Massachusetts-America 2012 on Sunday, March 11th at the Boston Marriott-Newton.
The esteemed judges were tasked with a very challenging decision as the contestants were all beautiful, educated, well-spoken, poised, and talented, but one woman walked away with the title – Barrie Ann Lynch.
A resident of Ware, Lynch has been married to her husband Daniel for 8 years. Barrie is a Business Systems Analyst, who earned her BA from the University of Rhode Island, and her MBA from Providence College.
Armed with an abundance of prizes and awards, Barrie is eager to begin preparing for the national Mrs. America competition later this year, and will compete for the coveted title of Mrs. America 2012.
Mrs. Massachusetts-America is the official state pageant for Mrs. America. Mrs. America celebrates the accomplishments of married women, and is the first and largest competition for married women. The winner of Mrs. America represents the United States at Mrs. World. Margie Gilbert, a former Mrs. Massachusetts-America 1962 is the Director for both Mrs. Massachusetts-America and Mrs. Vermont-America.
