Toronto, ON May 27 2009 — Accutel Conferencing announces the launch of PIN Connect; a service that is new to the audio conferencing and Investor Relations market. PIN Connect has been designed to alleviate the long waits faced by participants accessing traditional “Operator Assisted” conference calls that are so popular with the Investor Relations community. By having participants log in to pre-register their information before the start of a large conference call, the time it takes to log into a conference is shortened to a few seconds regardless of the amount of participants joining the conference call.
Accutel brought this technology to market to provide their customers with a way to log into their audio conference calls more quickly during peak reporting season as historically, analyst wanting to join audio calls during this period could wait for up to 20 minutes. “The problem the entire conferencing market has in dealing with large event calls is that the bulk of attendees access the calls as it is about to start or arrive late. This puts a lot of strain on the human resources that a traditional operator assisted conference requires. Our PIN Connect service eliminates this issue by automating the process,” said Lee Anne Frobel, Customer Care Manager of Accutel. Ms. Frobel also pointed out that all the information you would have previously required an operator for is now provided by the pre-registration process which means that the time intensive process of having an operator speak to every single participant to a large conference call can be averted with the new PIN Connect service.
